#Showbiz: Monsta X lone K-Pop act to rock iHeartRadio's Jingle Ball US concert tour

KUALA LUMPUR: Rising K-Pop sensation Monsta X has secured another personal milestone by becoming the first K-Pop group to perform at the Jingle Ball concerts in the US.

According to Soompi, iHeartRadio had recently announced that the seven-member South Korean band would be part of the popular Jingle Ball concert tour for 2018.

Held annually in various cities around the US during the holiday season, the concerts are star-studded events.

This time, Monsta X will be performing with a list of musical luminaries, that include Shawn Mendes, Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Alessia Cara, Khalid, Normani, The Chainsmokers, G-Eazy, Sabrina Carpenter, Bazzi and Marshmello, among others.

The award-winning K-Pop outfit, which has been active since 2015, is set to perform at the Jingle Ball concerts in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Boston and Philadelphia.

The Jingle Ball tour is expected to begin at the end of next month and Monsta X will perform its first concert at The Forum in Los Angeles on Nov 30.

Monsta X had already toured the US this year, between July and August, in conjunction with its second world tour, which sawyer boys performing in seven different cities.

The South Korean music outfit is certainly getting popular in the land of Uncle Sam, which saw it receiving a nomination in the Choice International Artist category at last year’s Teen Choice Awards, aired on the Fox channel in the US.

On a different note, the group, which consists of Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon and I.M, is also set to make a comeback with a sophomore studio album, Take.1., on Oct 22.
