KUALA LUMPUR: Newlyweds Priyanka Chopra, 36, and Nick Jonas, 26, may have received a wide range of wedding gifts from their nuptials, but perhaps one of the most meaningful gifts the new bride received came from her mother-in-law, Denise Miller Jonas.
Nick’s mother welcomed her into the family with a very sparkly gift, a set of “snowflake earrings” from Van Cleef & Arpels, a French luxury jewellery, watch and perfume company.
Surely enough, it was no ordinary set of jewellery as it came with a hefty price tag to the tune of US$79,500 (about RM329,000)!
According to recent news reports, the precious earrings are made of yellow gold, weigh about 6.7 carats featuring about 170 precious stones.
Priyanka and Nick and tied the knot recently, and held a lavish weekend celebration at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur.
The newlyweds dated briefly before getting engaged this year.
