KUALA LUMPUR: Comedian and actor Zizan Razak warmed the hearts of netizens when he gifted a Mercedes Benz GLC300 luxury car to his mother.
Zizan's surprise for his mother, Anai Ibrahim, went viral when his eldest brother, Hafiza Razak, shared it on his TikTok account yesterday.
Zizan said the surprise gift was a reward for his mother's service and sacrifice.
"It's not because of a birthday celebration, but instead it's my gift to my mother because she's been wanting this car for a long time.
"I just want to make Mom happy and I want to see a smile on her face.
"The gift of a car is only a material gesture, if you want to measure it by the sacrifice of each parent in raising a child, its value is priceless," he said in a news report today.
The Polis Evo 3 added that his awareness to make his parents happy came about after getting advice from a friend whose parents are no longer around.
"A friend advised me to cherish and take care of my parents while I still have them.
"But, don't feel embarrassed or sad if you can't afford to buy a car or expensive items for them, those are just material possessions.
"There are parents who don't need all this. For them, it's just enough to smile at them and provide them with happiness.
"Do what you can and let God alone be the judge of your sincerity, as long as they're happy," he said.
In the video clip, Zizan and Hafiza were seen taking their mother to the car showroom, supposedly just to window shop while waiting for the time to break their fast yesterday.
Zizan who had planned it with the salesman beforehand then took Anai to see the car which was covered under a black cloth with a big ribbon placed on top.
His mother did not realise what was going on until she saw the screen in front of the car showing her name on it.
Anai could not contain her joy and started crying as she hugged Zizan.
