KUALA LUMPUR: Celebrity chef Datuk Fazley Yaakob sure has many talents. He's also a singer and actor with a go-getter attitude.
The successful 40-year-old celeb can now add Grab driver to his résumé!
In an Instagram post yesterday, Fazley shared an interesting experience he had with a GrabCar driver recently.
Apparently, he was at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang and had booked a Grab car to take him home.
In the post, he wrote: "But during the journey home it began to rain heavily and the car's wipers suddenly stopped working."
Fazley then explained that the Grab driver panicked and told him that he couldn't drive because he couldn't see anything with the wipers not working in the heavy downpour.
Not one to shrink from a challenge, the dashing celeb snapped into action and told the driver not to worry.
Apparently Fazley was the man for the job!
He wrote: "We quickly switched places. The lorries and huge busses next to us were coming on fast and overtaking us on the highway and we felt the Proton Exora we were in vibrating quite intensely at times."
Fazley added that luckily everything went well and that he managed to reach home safely.
He also noted the funny irony of the situation.
"It was hilarious since I drove the Grab car that I booked myself and the actual driver was my passenger instead," he added.
Whatever the case, Fazley thanked the Grab driver, whose name was Azman Ibrahim, for letting him take over.
The entry, which was also accompanied by a video clip of the event, has so far received over 260,000 views and close to 700 positive comments from Netizens, who mostly praised Fazley's proactive and successful handling of the episode.
