#Showbiz: Fazley Yaakob thankful that wife arrived home safely after conquering Everest Base Camp

KUALA LUMPUR: Celebrity chef, singer and motivational speaker Datuk Fazley Yaakob is thankful that his wife Datin Azrene Ahmad is back home safe and sound after conquering the Everest Base Camp in Nepal recently.

In an Instagram post yesterday, Fazley uploaded a video of himself greeting Azrene at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang.

"She's back! Alhamdulillah! After 25 days at Everest Base Camp my dearest wife has returned to Malaysia safe and sound to share her amazing experience!" wrote Fazley.

"Not everybody can do this and I am so proud of her!"

Azrene spent the last month climbing the lower peaks of the massive Himalayan mountains in Nepal, and reached the Everest Base Camp which is 5,364 metres above sea level.

Fazley and Azrene were married on Nov 7, 2008 at Masjid Saidina Umar Al- Khattab, Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.

They have three sons Ahmad Fariedz Shah, Ahmad Fieradz Shah and Ahmad Firudz Shah, and a daughter Alayna Selma.
