#Showbiz: Apologise, or else... says Che Ta

PETALING JAYA: Popular actress Rozita Che Wan is giving her former personal driver Muhammad Riduan Mohamad Mizol until 6pm today to publicly apologise to her.

“Failing which, we will proceed with the next course of legal action,” she said.

The 45-year-old artiste, more popularly known as Che Ta said this at a press conference, held at Royale Chulan Damansara Hotel here today regarding the issue between Muhammad Riduan and her which had gone viral since March 6.

“I’ve engaged lawyers to assist me in this matter. A notice dated March 11 has been issued to him demanding that he apologises publicly and stops all the slander as well as deletes all the accusations he had uploaded onto the social media,” she said.

Also included in the notice is today’s press conference which required him to also attend. However, the 21-year-old Muhammad Riduan failed to turn up.

Others present were Rozita’s husband actor Zain Said, 35, and two lawyers representing her. “We’ve also tried contacting him, but there was no reply,” said Rozita.

Muhammad Riduan has been given the flexibility to decide on the approach to make that apology, as long as it is made public.

Muhammad Riduan had earlier claimed on Facebook that Rozita did not pay him his salary for a months’ work.

He claimed that he had repeatedly asked for it but she turned him down.

Only after the issue went viral did Rozita make the payment.
