KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran actress Ku Faridah Ku Shafie is currently in grave condition and is being treated for lung infection and septicemia (blood poisoning).
According to fellow artiste Sheila Mambo, the 66-year-old Ku Faridah is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the UiTM Hospital in Sungai Buloh.
Taking to Instagram, Sheila wrote: “AsSalamualaikum.. Doakan buat Ku Fridah bt Ku Shafie... Sekrang berada di icu, keadaan sgt lemah, due to beberapa penyakit, jangkitan kuman dlm paru, dlm darah.. Semoga Allah mengangkat segala dosa2 nya asbab sakity g ditanggung. Ampunkan dosa mak.” (Please pray for speedy recovery for Ku Fridah who is currently in ICU due to several complications including lung infection and septicemia...)
Her entry received many comments from local drama fans who wished for Ku Fridah’s speedy recovery.

Ku Faridah is popularly known for her roles in TV dramas such as Sutun Kembali Lagi (2008), Debunga Lalang (2013), and Datin Glam (2018). She has also acted in movies such as KL Gangster (2011), KL Gangster 2 (2013) and last year’s box office Munafik 2.
