#Showbiz: Westlife to perform two-day concert in Malaysia in August

KUALA LUMPUR: After reuniting as a group last year sans Brian McFadden, Irish pop group Westlife will embark on a tour, dubbed The Twenty Tour beginning July across seven Asian cities including Kuala Lumpur.

The exciting news was announced across the group’s official social media accounts today, much to the delight of their Malaysian fans.

The announcement also included the venue line-up in which Malaysia is the only stop that would see Westlife performing for two nights.

The band, which now comprises Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Markus Feehily, will be performing on Aug 8 and 9, at the Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam.

The tour will kick off in Bangkok, followed by Macau, Taipei, Manila, Jakarta, and Malaysia, before concluding the tour in Singapore.

“We are beyond excited to be going on tour to Asia this Summer! Stay tuned for ticket details and on sale dates coming soon!” read the caption on the group’s Instagram post.

Westlife, known for their hits like I Lay My Love on You, Swear It Again, If I Let You Go, last performed in Kuala Lumpur in 2011 for their Gravity Tour.
