#Showbiz: BlackPink's 'Kill This Love' fastest K-Pop group MV to surpass 10mil views

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular K-Pop group BlackPink dropped its new EP, Kill The Love, today, and fans, dubbed Blinks, have naturally been super excited about it.

The hot female quartet also released a music video for the title track on YouTube today and it had quickly accumulated a large amount of views.

According to Soompi, it had surpassed the 10 million views mark in just about 4 hours and 13 minutes. This makes the Kill The Love the fastest music video by a K-Pop group to ever hit the milestone point.

It broke the record previously held by K-Pop juggernaut BTS for its Idol music video which took 4 hours and 16 minutes to go over the 10 million views mark. Kill The Love currently has over 34.7 million and counting.

Soompi also reported that BackPink’s press conference for its newest EP release, scheduled for this morning, was cancelled at the last minute.

The group’s agency, YG Entertainment, released a statement that said: “We made this decision out of solidarity for the residents of Gangwon Province after the Goseong-Sokcho forest fire. Our sincerest condolences go out to the victims of the fire and the first responders.”
