KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actress Rozita Che Wan a.k.a. Che Ta says social media like Facebook and Instagram have become platforms for people to spread slander against her brother-in-law, Lan Pet Pet.
She said the incident which involved the 49-year-old comedian whose full name is Mazlan Ahmad was a big lie started by certain quarters.
“Actually, it was not a big issue at all. It has become big because the video went viral. Mazlan is fine and he’s currently in Johor performing in a show,”
“Lies are spread via Facebook and Instagram by people who do not know the whole story,” she said in a news report yesterday.
Rozita said this when asked to comment on the recent case where Mazlan was alleged to have hit and kicked a security guard who is also a senior citizen, in an argument in Taman Acacia in Nilai, Negri Sembilan.
Mazlan is married to Rozita’s younger sister, Ruby.
