KUALA LUMPUR: With a view that the tattoos inked onto his body had served their purpose, actor Keith Foo recently decided it was time to remove them for good.
In an Instagram posting yesterday, the 36-year-old artiste who has more than five tattoos shared a video of him undergoing the process using pico laser, a pigmentation removal procedure.
“Some people get tattoos just for fun, while some get them for emotional reasons. People often have an emotional attachment with their tattoos, and most of them get the tattoos with lifetime purpose in mind,” he wrote in the caption accompanying the video.
“I had my first tattoo when I was 18 and now 18 years later I had my first tattoo removed. I don’t regret having them (in fact I love them) but some of them have served their purposes.”
“It is a transformative journey – journey of growing up, spiritual awakening, giving up fixed ideas and open-mindedness,” he added.
