#Showbiz: BTS to collaborate with Adam Levine or guest on The Voice?

KUALA LUMPUR: International K-Pop sensation BTS is winning over music lovers, especially other artistes, and fans are excited for the group’s next collaboration.

According to Koreaboo, the seven-member South Korean music outfit, which is said to be talented yet humble and sweet, had piqued the interest of American singer-songwriter Adam Levine, 40.

Apparently, fellow American artiste Charlie Puth had recently held an Instagram livestream session to interact with his fans.

During the session, Levine, who is also the lead singer of pop rock band Maroon 5, had asked him a series of random questions and had left a few fun comments as well.

But what caught the attention of fans was when Levine asked Puth, “Charlie what’s it like being in BTS?”

The 27-year-old One Call Away hitmaker is no stranger to the K-Pop juggernaut, having taken to the stage to perform BTS’ song, Fake Love, with the group and had a duet with Jungkook on his song, We Don’t Talk Anymore, at the 2018 MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards in South Korea.

BTS fans or Army naturally freaked out over what Levine’s question could mean. Although it was just an innocent sounding query, some fans saw it as a hint that the music group would be showing up on the reality TV singing competition, The Voice, in which Levine serves as a judge and coach.

Fans speculated further as BTS had apparently met up with another notable American artiste, John Legend, 40, who is also a judge on The Voice.

There were also rumours that the group had already pre-recorded its appearance on the show, which added fuel to the fire although nothing has yet been confirmed.

Other fans were just happy for Levine’s BTS shout-out and hoped that the two artistes would collaborate musically someday.

Ironically enough, Puth did not answer Levine’s question during the livestream.

Meanwhile, Koreaboo also reported that Shawn Stockman of popular R&B vocal group Boyz II Men, had recently performed a short cover of BTS member Jimin’s song, Serendipity, on Instagram Live.

Despite not knowing Korean, his rendition blew fans away who then asked for the 46-year-old American singer-songwriter to feature a full length version, since he is also known to be a BTS fan.

Stockman had one condition for that though. In his reply to the request, he cheekily wrote: “Tell you what, I’ll only do the whole song if Jimin does it with me!”

Fans quickly reacted with glee and expressed their approval for an epic collaboration between the two artistes. As usual, one can hope and only time will tell if this actually materialises.
