#Showbiz: Road mishap leaves A. Aida traumatised

KUALA LUMPUR: Producer and actress Datuk A. Aida is still struggling to come to terms with a car accident she was in last Friday.

“I’m still shaken following the mishap, as it is the first road accident I’ve ever experienced since I started driving at the age of 20,” said the artiste whose full name is Zaidah Awang, in a news report today.

She added that the damages to her car, a Ford Mustang, is estimated at almost RM70,000, with a huge fraction of the sum would go towards replacing the airbag system alone.

“I was only driving at 50km per hour when it all happened, and I still couldn’t figure out what had actually caused me to lose control of the car, causing it to hit the road divider,” said the 49-year-old.

The accident occurred at KM390 of the East Coast Highway 2 (LPT 2) near Ajil, Terengganu while Aida was on her way back to her hometown in Jerteh to pay her last respects to her recently-deceased eldest sister.
