#Showbiz: A Aida 'blacklists' Ruhainies from her productions

KUALA LUMPUR: Renowned producer Datuk A Aida revealed that she has 'blacklisted' actress Ruhainies, whose real name is Ruhainies Zainul Ilyas, from acting in her productions in the future.

Aida, whose real name is Zaidah Awang, 54, said that she made the decision in order to set an example for other artistes.

"I don't want her (Ruhainies) to act in my productions anymore.

"I don't want the issue surrounding her (Ruhainies) alleged involvement with actor Aliff Aziz in a khalwat case to affect the dramas or telemovies produced by my company," she told Harian Metro earlier.

Aida said that the actress was supposed to be involved in the filming of a telefilm titled "Elham Untuk Nian," which will be produced by her company and will be released on Salam HD @unifitv in April.

"The production team has already set the filming date, but she (Ruhainies) has not signed the contract.

"The issue associated with her is serious, and she has to accept that her name will be replaced with another actress.

"It's not just Ruhainies, any artist with issues, I will 'blacklist'," she said.

Asked about the replacement for Ruhainies, Aida said she will cast actress Bella Astillah in her productions.

"I also want to maintain a good relationship with Bella.

"I get along well with Bella, and it wouldn't be right for me to cast Ruhainies due to the issues involving them," she said.

Earlier, Aida posted on her social expressing her regret towards an actress who was once her favourite.

"It's heartbreaking to think about the fate of my artist who is constantly tested. And what angers me the most, isn't there anyone else for that one artist to pursue?

Sorry to the artist who used to be my favourite; there will be no more opportunities for you," she wrote with the hashtag #blacklist.
