ONLINE reports emerged earlier today stating that Hong Kong actor Simon Yam sustained injuries after he was stabbed in the abdomen during an event in China.
Citing video clips posted online, a man was spotted taking a weapon out of his pocket and subsequently aiming it at the actor.
Yam, who was speaking on stage at the time, tried to move away but it appeared that he had been stabbed.
The attacker was then detained by security officers.
It is unclear what the attacker's motive was but Yam is reportedly stable and the injuries were not serious.
