KUALA LUMPUR: Despite having uploaded a picture of her hugging her beau actor Syafiq Kyle on social media, actress Mimi Lana said that she didn’t want her personal life to overshadow her career.
According to a news report today, the 23-year-old starlet, whose full name is Mimi Rozaiana Zainal Abidin, said that the photo quickly grabbed the attention of local entertainment fans after Syafiq, 27, revealed the status of their relationship recently.
“The photo was taken as part of a promotion for the drama series, Bukan Cinta Aku, in which we both starred,” she said.
Mimi added: “It was not the first time that I shared a picture of us together.”
“Maybe after knowing that we are in a relationship together, people just got excited about it,” she said of the particular picture which she shared with her fans and followers on Instagram on June 17.
Both Mimi and Syafiq were in agreement that people should not ask them again about their personal life and added that the recent revelation was more than enough for the fans to know.
