KUALA LUMPUR: With Malaysia’s 62nd Independence Day just around the corner, singer-actor Izzue Islam has released a special song to show his love for the country.
Titled This Is Malaysia, the tune with lyrics in Malay is composed and written by himself and wife Awin Nurin.
The 29-year-old artiste said that he had especially recorded the song to add some merriment to this year’s celebrations of the National Day, as well as Malaysia Day which falls on Sept 16.
“Last year, I recorded a song called My City, a song which I dedicated for my home state Kelantan. This time around, it’s for Malaysia. It’s my way to show my patriotism and for my country,” he said in a news report today.
An easy-listening number, Izzue is hopeful that the single would catch on with local music listeners as it has a simple message which would inspire Malaysians to ensure the country continues to be prosperous, peaceful and harmonious.
