#Showbiz: Ku Hye Sun not eager to share agency with ex, calls for contract termination

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular Korean actress Ku Hye Sun who has been in a very public marital dispute with former spouse and fellow actor Ahn Jae Hyun has made known her intention to end her contract with HB Entertainment, which also manages Ahn.

According to Soompi, she recently posted a few messages on her Instagram account. One featured a screenshot of her unanswered messages to the CEO of the agency she is under.

It read: “Hello, president. I don’t think Ahn Jae Hyun and I should be staying at the same company in the current situation. The director told me you will end the contract. It’s only right that we figure this out ourselves as a married couple, and I don’t want him to hide behind you like a coward. I am thinking of leaving the agency and confidently fighting against the person Ahn Jae Hyun. I apologise for the inconvenience. I’d appreciate it if you could cancel the contract.”

The actress has continued to ask the CEO to cancel her contract, with another message that went: “You said you would cancel my contract first, so why are you not agreeing to it? You said it was uncomfortable for two actors you said should divorce to remain in your agency. You’re not even replying to me. Please take care of this matter efficiently.”

Ku also explained in an Instagram post that read: “These are text messages sent in August, and it’s October already. The agency’s involvement in Ahn Jae Hyun’s divorce has damaged my trust in them. Ahn Jae Hyun and the CEO badmouthed me in Kakaotalk, which wasn’t in Dispatch Forensics texts, and I recorded what Ahn Jae Hyun and I talked about this and submitted it to the court.”

She added: “I’m currently working alone without the help of management. Why did Ahn Jae Hyun help me join this company two months ago? It makes me wonder. We’re a married couple who has exchanged countless texts for the past two years, but Ahn Jae Hyun’s agency HB Entertainment picked out a few of them, rearranged them in their favour, and reported to Dispatch, which is strange considering they’re my agency as well. HB Entertainment, which violated the actor’s rights, is advised to terminate my contract as soon as possible.”
