#Showbiz: Goo Hara's resting place revealed, Hollywood actor Thomas McDonell shares her message to him

KUALA LUMPUR: The agency of recently-deceased Korean artiste Goo Hara has revealed her final resting place which is open to the public.

According to Soompi, a statement released yesterday read: “We apologise for causing confusion to many domestic and overseas fans who were planning to pay their respects after we changed the (last date for visits) from Nov 27 at midnight to Nov 26 at midnight.”

It added: “We are announcing the details of her final resting place for those who are coming from abroad to pay their respects to the deceased and those who were not able to pay their respects yet. Final resting place: Bundang Sky Castle Memorial Park. We thank everyone for mourning and commemorating her after the unfortunate news. May she rest in peace.”

Apparently, a private funeral procession for Goo was held yesterday at 6am. Before the event, family members, close friends and fellow celebrities gathered for a ceremony to send her off.

Meanwhile, Koreaboo reported that Hollywood actor Thomas McDonell had shared a message that Goo sent to him earlier this year.

Via his Twitter account, the star of the American sci-fi drama TV series The 100 uploaded a screenshot last Tuesday that showed the idol personally reaching out to thank him for his interest in the Korean culture.

Her message in Korean read: “Hello, Thomas. I’m a singer from Korea, named Goo Hara of KARA! Thank you for following me. And thank you for loving Korea.”

McDonell captioned the tweet with “And thank you for loving Korea” in Korean, followed by a sad emoji.

The two celebs have never met in person but Netizens commented that it was sweet of her to reach out and thank him.

McDonell, 33, is apparently a well-known advocate for K-Pop and Korean culture in the Hollywood scene. He visits Korea often and keeps up with the fandoms and other aspects of the culture through his social media accounts.

Goo’s body was found by a housekeeper in her Cheongdam-dong house last Sunday, where she was said to have taken her own life. She was 28.
