KUALA LUMPUR: The son of popular 1980s singer Azian Mazwan Sapuwan, has been reported to be in a coma for almost two weeks now.
Mohamad Aqil Zulkarnain was rushed to the hospital after he was involved in a road accident on Nov 22.
Azian’s husband, Mohammad Ahrar Zulkarnain took to Facebook recently to share about the condition of their fourth child.
He wrote that Mohamad Aqil Zulkarnain had been admitted into the Intensive Care Unit of Selayang Hospital due to serious injuries on his abdomen and internal organs.
Last Sunday, Mohammad Ahrar wrote: “It’s Day 13 and Mohammad Aqil Zulkarnain has been anesthetised for the recovery process of his liver and lymph vessels... we would like to apologise on his behalf, should he have wronged anyone before.
“We also would like to express our heartiest thanks to family members and friends who had taken their time to visit and extend their support to us during this trying time. May God bless all of you.”
Azian, 44, was a finalist at the 1986 Bintang RTM. She was only 11 years old.
The singer whose hits include Rumah Kecil Tiang Seribu and Cinta Embunan Pagi, was also a participant in Gegar Vaganza Season 2.
