KUALA LUMPUR: Having his works used as references for a comprehensive paper by an undergraduate is a huge honour for rapper and composer Altimet.
Taking to Instagram yesterday, the 41-year-old artiste shared a photo of the cover page of an academic paper titled Sinisme Dalam Lirik Lagu Muda, Bunga Dan Mambang Karya Altimet (2018) by Nurul Shafiqah Shuhada Che Rose, a student from Universiti Teknologi Mara’s Faculty of Film, Theatre and Animation.
In the caption, he wrote: “Satu penghargaan yang sangat besar untuk saya secara peribadi. Nilainya lebih dari piala yang fizikal. Hati ada senyuuuummmmm. Terimalah kasih @shafiqahshuhada, Moga awak dapat apa yang awak impikan, InsyaAllah Amin. Sebab benda yang awak buat ni jauh lebih dari apa yang saya berani impikan untuk diri saya. When a Netizen commented that his lyrics “run real deep”, the rapper replied: “always thought I was a straight talker bro. But different people see things differently I guess.”
Of the three songs, Bunga was a finalist at last year’s 33rd Anugerah Juara Lagu .
