#Showbiz: 'Ogy TV is my life story on video' - Fauziah Ahmad Daud

KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran singer-actress Fauziah "Ogy" Ahmad Daud now has her very own YouTube channel, and it is her "legacy of love" for diehard fans.

She unveiled her channel, Ogy TV on Astro Ria's (104) entertainment programme HLive last Saturday, and said that it chronicled her journey in showbiz thus far.

"Ogy TV is my life story on video. Here's where I take fans along my four-decade-long journey as an artiste, and I'll be sharing lots and lots of personal experiences that are seldom told.

"When I'm no more in this world, people might say all sorts of things about me that aren't true, such as why I'm so strict and harsh when I work with others. Ogy TV will reveal my side of the story, and many questions about me will be answered in it," said Fauziah in the programme.

Fauziah, 57, also said that her channel allowed her to communicate with new artistes, and share her work experiences and life lessons with them.

"By sharing my journey with them, I'll remind them that it's never easy to thrive in showbiz. It's a demanding job which requires lots of hard work and sacrifice. We have to be strong in order to survive."

Fauziah, who was born in Singapore, is the daughter of legendary singer Datuk Ahmad Daud and legendary actress Datin Saadiah Baharom.

She has starred in more than 20 films, such as Ceritaku Ceritamu (1979), Esok Untuk Siapa (1982), Azura (1984), Ali Setan (1985), Magika (2010), Langit Cinta (2016), and Pusaka (2019).

Her best known songs include Sandarkan Pada Kenangan, a duet with Datuk Jamal Abdillah from Azura, Wajah Rahsia Hati from Ali Setan, and Simfoni Kasih.

She won Most Promising Actress at the Malaysian Film Festival 1980, Best Actress at the Malaysian Film Festival 1985, 1987 and 2016, and Best Actress at the Anugerah Skrin 2016.
