KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian singer Aurel Hermansyah and her brother Azriel Akbar Hermansyah recently revealed why they are rarely seen with their mother, popular singer Krisdayanti.
In a recent video on the YouTube channel which created by their father, singer Anang Hermansyah, Aurel, 21, and Azriel, 19, denied accusations by certain quarters that they were still holding a grudge against their mother since their parents’ divorce in 2009.
Instead, they said that they had chosen to stay with their father because they didn’t want to trouble their mother who married businessman Raul Lemos two years after the divorce.
“Mimi (Krisdayanti) married Raul when we were still in our early teens. Our childish behaviour might not augur well with her husband then,” she said in the video.
Since their mother’s schedule was always packed, Aurel said that Krisdayanti could never attend family events organised by Anang, and that was why they were rarely seen together.
Aurel admitted that there were times when she felt disappointed with her mother, but that was then. But now that she is all grown up, her relationship with her mother is stronger.
“Disappointment, anger and heartbroken are all the feelings buried in the past,” she added.
While Krisdayanti married Raul in 2011, Anang tied the knot with singer Ashanty the following year.
