#Showbiz: BCL marks 'new chapter' with hijab collection

KUALA LUMPUR: Losing her husband has been very painful, but Indonesian singer-actress Bunga Citra Lestari exemplifies the saying that "life must go on".

The Habibie & Ainun star, whose Malaysian actor husband Ashraf Sinclair died at 40 last Feb 18, has chosen to start a new chapter of her life by launching her very own range of selendang (headscarves).

And best of all, she has roped in her mother Emmy Syarif as the first person to model her Pashmina By BCL range of headscarves.

Even her mother-in-law, Ashraf's mother Khadijah Abdul Rahman or Dida Sinclair has lent a helping hand to promote the headscarves on Instagram.

Khadijah uploaded a photo of Bunga's range of headscarves on Instagram with the caption "Hijab with love" yesterday.

The headscarves will be sold online, and if all goes well they will be found at departmental stores later.

Since Bunga launched the headscarves early this week, they have received more than 14,000 followers on her Instagram account, Rumah BCL.

Netizens praised the singer-actress for getting over her grief and moving on with her life and showbiz career. They saluted her resilience and determination to go beyond singing and acting.

"Beautiful! Well done Bunga Citra Lestari. You're so strong and determined. I always admire you. May God bless you and family," said Ida.

"All our support and love for you Bunga Citra Lestari and family!" said Lisa.
