KUALA LUMPUR: Popular TV host Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor has decided to wear niqab (a veil worn to cover all of the face apart from the eyes).
In a short press statement today, the 31-year-old entrepreneur said: "Assalamualaikum. Please pray for me, a person who has made many mistakes in the past, so that I'll be persistent in my efforts to be a better person.
"Please pray that in this new journey that I'm embarking on, I will always be in God's blessing and providence.
Neelofa's decision to don the niqab has greatly pleased her mother, Datin Noor Kartini, who uploaded a video of her hugging Neelofa.
In the caption, she wrote: "Masya-Allah, I'm grateful to you O Almighty for sending me the most beautiful angel to guide and to inspire me. I'm grateful for the light you had given her, which I pray that you bestow on me, my family and others too. I love you my angel Neelofa."
