#Showbiz: It's showtime! GSC to welcome back audiences tomorrow

KUALA LUMPUR: One of Malaysia's premiere cinema chains Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) will be opening over 26 of its branches tomorrow in the CMCO and RMCO-enforced states.

Ticket sales are now available for cinemagoers to choose from a wide selection of films including Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie Mugen Train, Stand By Me Doraemon 2, Raya And the Last Dragon, Don't Look Back, Endgame and Master.

There will also be re-runs of Wonder Woman 1984 and Shockwave 2.

Later in the month, GSC will also be releasing local titles such as Selamat Hari X Jadi, as well as eagerly anticipated Hollywood blockbusters like Monster Hunter and Godzilla vs Kong.

A statement from GSC said that the safety and health of patrons and staff is its top priority.

"The cinema will continue to implement stringent SOP including temperature checks, contact tracing via MySejahtera, social distancing, as well as regular cleaning and sanitisation after every show.

"Additionally, patrons are advised to wear masks in all public areas, except for when eating or drinking," it said.

Although cinema halls will include gap seating between patrons, the latest reopening also offers the option for twin seating which will allow family members of the same household to sit together.

But in accordance with SOP issued by the National Security Council (MKN), audiences are required to provide valid proof of cohabitation if requested.

In celebration of its reopening, GSC will be offering a host of concessions promotions for single movie-goers and family members, with savings of up to 50 per cent.

There will also be special fan screenings of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie Mugen Train and Stand By Me Doraemon 2 for anime lovers this weekend.

Additionally, Aurum Theatre will also be reopening its doors with a selection of promotions for audiences who prefer a more luxurious experience.
