KUALA LUMPUR: Single mother and actress Jasmin Hamid surprised her fans when she announced on Friday that she had become her manager Nazmir Abd Rahman's wife.
The 47-year- old artiste and her 35-year-old assistant had their marriage solemnised at the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) here last Friday.
It was witnessed by 10 family members including Nazmir's parents and siblings, and Jasmin's son.
Having been single for a long time, Jasmine said that it was difficult for her to fall in love again, and that she and Nazmir who had been her manager for the past eight years had always maintained a professional relationship until recently.
"I decided to marry Nazmir because of divine intervention. May this union be eternally blessed by Him," she said in the Instagram entry.
Jasmin who said that the union was not planned added: "I was in a relationship with someone else, but in the end, I ended up marrying a different person… God sure works in mysterious ways."
Apparently, the news didn't just surprise her fans, but also her fellow artiste friends.
Responding to Jasmin's announcement in the comment section, comedienne and actress Didie Alias jokingly wrote: "What is is this Gayah!!! I've been fooled."
Jasmin was married to Ian Rashid Macquistan between 2000 and 2008. They have a son. The actress also has two adopted children.
