KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actress and TV host Mira Filzah is confirmed to be pregnant with her first child.
The good news was shared by her 32-year-old husband Wan Emir Astar Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar on his Instagram account yesterday.
In the lengthy post, Wan Emir also revealed that his 29-year-old wife, whose real name is Nur Amirah Filzah Badioezaman, would be entering her third trimester soon.
"Praise be to God, we received the good news last year that we would be having our first child together. God-willing, she will be entering her third trimester soon.
"To everyone who has hoped and prayed for us from then until now, we humbly offer a million thank yous.
"May God bless and answer all of our prayers," he wrote.
He added that like every other couple, they had their fair share of challenges and emotional experiences.
"To those who have wishes and plans to build a family, we also have our own personal experience of the highs and lows throughout our own journey so far.
"Let it be known that we feel and pray for only the good for everyone too.
"But surely it is only with God's knowledge and ultimate wisdom, that lies what is good and best for each one of us, in time and in place," he said.
The post, which received over 209,000 likes and close to 2,500 comments from well-wishers, was accompanied by a picture of their wedding photo and a pregnancy test kit showing a positive reading.
Last year, speculation was rife that the 29-year-old artiste was pregnant but the couple remained mum on the matter.
Mira and Wan Emir tied the knot on Sept 3 of 2020.
