#Showbiz: Wedding not on the cards for now, says Yasmin Hani

KUALA LUMPUR: TV host and actress Yasmin Hani Richardson has denied that her beau, fellow actor Alif Hadi, ever made a statement that they were planning to tie the knot by year end.

"He never said such a thing. His answer to the media recently on a possible wedding was merely 'the earlier, the better'," said the 43-year-old artiste.

Yasmin Hani admitted that they were comfortable being friends at the moment, and there was no reason to rush into marriage.

"There's nothing to rush. When it's time, it's time. But at the moment, there's no serious plan for that," she added.

However, the mother of two said that her children Noah Ismail Wong, 9, and Eissa Elzander Wong, 6, have since become closer and more comfortable with Alif. Yasmin Hani was married to former Blackrose drummer Shahrin Razali, 58.

She also said that being a public figure, she understood why fans and the media had been asking her about "the impending wedding".

"It also means people care. But at the same time, since I don't have the exact answer (as to when the big day is), questions like that can be a little suffocating for me," she said when met at a press conference for Dapur Tempur, a new TV9 programme, held at Flower Girl Coffee at Sunway Geo Avenue in Petaling Jaya earlier today.

Yasmin is the host for the reality cooking show, set to premiere on Nov 3 at 8.30pm on TV9.
