KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actress Nad Zainal is in critical condition with a lung infection at the Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital, Ampang, Selangor.
One of her close friends, Aina Liza, said in a news report today that she was placed under an induced coma for two days at the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU).
"Nad suffered hemorrhaging in the lungs and doctors are doing their best. Let us all pray for her recovery," said Aina.
The Kampung Girl actress' co-star in the drama series Cina Buta, Ungku Ismail Aziz, urged fans to pray for her recovery.
"She underwent several procedures in hospital and the doctors said she was stable but critical condition," said Ungku Ismail.
Cina Buta director and producer Shahrulezad Mohameddin said that he was shocked to learn of Nad's hospitalisation.
"I'm worried about her condition. Thank God it was an induced coma, I pray for her recovery," he said.
