KUALA LUMPUR: After two years of marriage, actor Luqman Hafidz has confirmed that he had divorced his wife Nurul Atiqah Mad Apandi in June.
"It's time for me to share this and confirm that I had split with my wife in June. This was done in a cordial manner at the courts.
"Our focus now is to provide our child with the best life possible," he said in a Harian Metro report today.
The 31-year-old artiste added that he hoped this official announcement would clear the air once and for all.
"I hope that there will not be any further speculation on this matter. I also hope that the media will give me space and respect this decision for the sake of my family as well as my former in-laws.
"I apologise for any confusion before this. My focus now is to work hard to make a decent living as a father, since this responsibility is my main priority.
"Please pray for the best for me and I will also do the same for you all," he said.
Previously, Luqman had informed the media that he was not ready to comment on widespread rumours that his marital relationship had crumbled.
The actor tied the knot with Nurul Atiqah, 31, on March 20 in 2020.
They are blessed with a 12-month-old baby girl, Eve Laura.
