KUALA LUMPUR: Popular celebrity couple Ungku Ismail Aziz and Nad Zainal have wedded on Jan 23.
Taking to Instagram yesterday, the 32-year-old actress whose full name is Farah Nadia Zainal shared the good news in a post accompanied by pictures of the two dressed in white during their nikah ceremony at a mosque.
In a brief caption she wrote: "Alhamdulillah."
One of the pictures featured the mas kahwin in the form of gold worth RM1,000 which was labelled with the names of the happy couple and the date Jan 23.
The post has garnered over 341,000 likes and close to 9,000 comments from fans and fellow artistes conveying their congratulatory messages to the newly wedded couple.
Last November, Nad was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital due to a severe lung infection.
During Cinta Buta star's lengthy stay there for treatment, Ungku Ismail Ungku Abdul Aziz, 37, was her closest friend who shared details of her progress and recovery.
The actor even established an emergency fund to collect contributions from the public in order to help Nad with the cost of her treatment.
