Korea Star Daily reported yesterday that among the highest paid actresses, Jeon Ji-Hyun and Song Hye-Kyo also earned around 200 million won per drama episode.

With the popularity of online streaming platforms, many broadcasting companies are releasing web series with only six to 12 episodes.

In order to attract artistes, they are compelled to pay higher fees per episode.

Soo-Hyun reportedly received 500 million won (RM1,725,026) per episode for One Ordinary Day.

Meanwhile, actor Lee Jung-Jae's salary has risen to 1 billion won (RM3,449,661) per episode for Squid Game 2.
