KUALA LUMPUR: Pop king Datuk Jamal Abdillah will soon come up with a duet Tangan Yang Melambai, with his Famili Duo-winning sons Yamani Abdillah and Zaki Yamani.
Overjoyed with his sons' victory in the TV3 reality talent show which concluded last Sunday, Jamal said that they would record the song on Feb 15.
The song is produced by Rusa Music and composed by Ezra Kong.
"We are hoping for the best. The song was actually completed before Yamani and Zaki won," said Jamal in an interview with Berita Harian Online today.
Jamal added that he did not expect Yamani, 22, and Zaki, 17 to win but they worked hard and did their best in every weekly concert throughout the eight-week show.
"Famili Duo helped them develop their own sound and identity, and music lovers now know them on their own merits," he said, adding that Yamani was a skilled guitarist.
Jamal also thanked Rusa Music for choosing his sons for the new song.
Jamal also said that he and his wife, Datin Zai Izzati Khiruddin would soon become the proud parents of a baby girl.
"She is due in April, but we have not decided her name yet," said Jamal.
Jamal and Zai Izzati were married on April 1, 2017 and have three children, Nur Azura, four, El Isaac Yamani, three, and Iskandar Rayyan Yamani, one.
