KUALA LUMPUR: The KLPAC Symphonic Band is back after last year's outdoor concert with another, titled Music Play Date, at the environs of KLPAC on April 15 and 16.
The fun-filled casual concert is the perfect treat for families who can pack their picnic mats and gear to enjoy music among the lush greenery of KLPAC.
No fixed seating, stuffy dress codes or ushers shushing the kids during this 60-minute interactive and family-friendly show.
Audience members are encouraged to sing along to familiar tunes such as It's A Small World and clap along to the Clapping Music.
The KLPAC Symphonic Band musicians will be taking turns to entertain the audience with toe-tapping tunes and, at the same time, introduce some basic musical knowledge and terminology.
Parents are encouraged to make and bring along their own DIY instruments while children can take part in music quizzes and games to win fun prizes courtesy of Mr. D.I.Y., Mr. Toy and Mr. Dollar.
Admission is free but donations are most welcomed.
Music Play Date, which starts at 11.30am, is part of KLPAC and The KLPAC Symphonic Band's audience development and community outreach efforts.
