#Showbiz: Fly FM invites MYAirline cabin crew to become announcers

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular English radio station Fly FM has offered a helping hand to staff of the financially-troubled Malaysian budget carrier MYAirline.

The Media Prima Bhd-owned radio station made the announcement in an open letter on social media today.

An entry on its official IG account was captioned with: "Calling all current cabin crew of MYAirline! We want to give you the opportunity to become an announcer! Come fly with us."

It added: "Just reach out to us via Whatsapp (017-2951144), call us (03-77241144) or send us a DM, hit us up! We want to hear from you!"

The entry was accompanied by an image of the open letter addressed to the cabin crew of MYAirline.

Part of the letter read: "Fly FM is thrilled to inform you that we would like to offer all current cabin crew from MYAirline to switch gears to become radio announcers with us."

"It's time to be a part of the Fly magic! We believe this would be a perfect opportunity to hone your skills as cabin crew in a brand-new way," it said.

It was previously reported that MYAirline had suspended it operations effective Oct 12 until further notice.

The financially struggling airline is believed to be unable to pay its services providers and employees' salaries on time.

MYAirline had also advised its passengers to seek out alternative travel arrangements.
