#Showbiz: British pop legend Rod Stewart to rock KL fans in March

KUALA LUMPUR: Legendary two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Rod Stewart is set to perform live in concert at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, here on March 4 next year.

The British pop singer's concert is part of the Asian leg of his Live in Concert, One Last Time tour.

It kicks off with his Kuala Lumpur show, followed by stops in Bangkok, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore and Tokyo.

"It's been 15 years since my last Asian tour, which is far too long! I truly cannot wait to return with a setlist of all my biggest hits and one of the most extraordinary productions of my career. It's going to be quite a bash!" said the 78-year-old artiste in a statement today.

His multi-year tour, which began last year, had already seen him performing to sold out venues in North and South America, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

The shows received rave reviews from critics and fans alike, including Rolling Stone which called it "a knock-down, drag 'em out, triumph," and the Telegraph declaring it, "a masterclass in entertainment and fun," and USA Today calling him "a veritable one-man stroll through pop-music history."

With an illustrious music career spanning over 50 years, fans can expect to be taken on a ride through every era with chart-toppers including, Maggie May, You Wear It Well, Hot Legs, You're In My Heart and Do You Think I'm Sexy.

There's also Some Guys Have All the Luck, Rhythm Of My Heart, Young Turks, Sailing, Tonight's The Night, Broken Arrow, Infatuation and Forever Young, as well as a few surprises and legendary covers in the mix.

The upcoming show promises to be an extraordinary night of entertainment with dynamic stage production, that includes a dozen band members and backup vocalists.
