#Showbiz: Singer Bad of Indigo dies at 48

KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Badrul Izhan Yeop Abdullah or Bad of Indigo, died at his workplace in Ampang, Selangor, at 7pm tonight. He was 48.

News of his death was confirmed by singer Liza Hanim on Instagram.

"I've just received the sad news of Bad's demise from his fellow Indigo member, Shah. It has come as a shock to me and my family as he looked healthy prior to this."

One of Bad's close friends, identified as Panjang, said the singer collapsed suddenly at his workplace.

"He fell unconscious shortly after complaining of breathing problems," said Panjang.

In June last year, Bad ended his year-long marriage to fellow veteran singer Sharifah Nur Ashira Syed Abdul Aziz, 37.

Bad said back then that their divorce was mutually agreed, no third party was involved, and they were still good friends.

Bad and Ashira tied the knot on March 11 last year, shortly after they competed in the Astro reality talent show Gegar Vaganza 7 (GV7).
