#Showbiz: Karyawan pays tribute to dedicated artiste Bad Indigo

KUALA LUMPUR: Persatuan Karyawan Malaysia or Karyawan has described the death of veteran singer Bad of Indigo as a great loss to Malaysian music.

In a statement yesterday, Karyawan president Datuk Freddie Fernandez described Bad as a dedicated member of the artiste association who actively supported its programmes over the years, especially its charitable projects that benefitted needy veterans.

"Bad was always active in Karyawan, and participated in many of our projects for the welfare of fellow artistes.

"A week before his untimely death, he called me and asked if he could join in the latest programmes of the association, including stage performances," said Fernandez.

"We in Karyawan want to express our heartfelt condolences to Bad's bereaved family members. Malaysia has lost a talented artiste and a good man. May Bad Indigo be placed among the righteous."

Bad or Badrul Izhan Yeop Abdullah, 48, died at his workplace in Ampang, Selangor at 7pm yesterday.
