'Konsert Goyang Asia' postponed again

KUALA LUMPUR: Event organiser Mission Sight Sdn Bhd has once again postponed Konsert Goyang Asia, as a mark of respect to the suffering Palestinians facing brutal Israeli aggression.

The company's project director, actor Riezman Khuzaimi said that they had yet to find a suitable date for the concert, because it all depended on the situation in Gaza, Palestine.

"Many Netizens don't want the concert to be held right now. It just isn't the right time," he said in an interview with Harian Metro Online yesterday.

Riezman assured music lovers that the concert will "definitely be held" when things return to normal.

"We cannot determine a definite date because the participating artistes have their schedules to follow. Finding a new date requires discussions with them, it has to be a date where all of them are available," he said.

Riezman said that his company would not cancel the concert as the losses incurred would be more than RM500,000.

"We have paid the deposits for all of the participating artistes to lock their schedules. That is why we cannot cancel it," he added.

When asked about his latest projects, Riezman said that his next film Syif Malam would be screened on Dec 7.

Directed by Fairus Anuar, the horror comedy also stars Anas Ridzuan, Taqim Zaki, Shah Kimin and Zera Hariz.
