#Showbiz: Couple cherish special concert experience, thanks to simple placard [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: A young couple were in awe for all the right reasons when Coldplay frontman Chris Martin invited them on stage during the band's recent concert at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

Martin had spotted the young couple's placard which read, 'Magic for our daughter please' and he read it out loud before inviting them up on stage where he sang the song 'Magic' for them and he even amended and changed the lyrics while singing the song just for them.

Shasha Rusley, 30, an architect, and her husband, Afiq Baharudin, 29, an engineer, have been married for four years and they thought why not make a placard asking for a song dedicated to their two-and-half year old daughter Diora Iris.

"We knew that from previous Coldplay concerts, Chris (Martin) would randomly read out messages written on some of the placards and banners after he sings the song 'Hymn for the weekend'.

"We wrote 'Magic for our daughter please,' and we believe that he noticed our placard as he said out loud, "where is that sign", and then when he saw our placard again, this is when he (Martin) called us to come up on stage.

"We were very shocked that he invited us up on stage, as we did not go to the concert having any expectations, we just wanted to attend the concert and enjoy the experience of listening to music that we grew up listening to. So we were stunned, shocked and speechless when Chris read out loud our simple message from the placard and called us to join him and the band on stage," she shared.

Shasha revealed that they made the placard out of love for their daughter.

"Our daughter loves to sing along to our favourite songs, so we made the placard because we wanted to send love to our daughter who is so special and precious to us, she is 'magic' to us."
