BALI: The wedding ceremony of the popular Indonesian singer-actress Bunga Citra Lestari (BCL) with businessman Tiko Aryawardhana at a resort here this evening is under tight security.
The local media agency, Media Indonesia, has been stationed in front of the luxurious resort since yesterday evening but has been prevented from approaching the main entrance near the foot of Mount Agung.
Meanwhile, Suara.com reports that security guards are positioned at the resort's entrance to prevent media access to the premises.
According to the agency's report, media representatives are only permitted to gather a few metres from the main entrance door.
BCL, who is also the mother of her only child, 13-year-old Noah Aidan Sinclair, is reported to have invited fewer than 100 guests to attend the wedding ceremony.
Fellow artist Maia Estianty is reported to have flown to Bali to attend Bunga's wedding with her partner Tiko. Maia and BCL are close friends, having served as judges on the reality show, Indonesia Idol.
The agency also reported that the wedding package at the luxurious resort is estimated to cost between RM100,000 and RM600,000.
The luxury resort was once the choice of the world-renowned footballer David Beckham and his family during their visit in 2007.
BCL was previously married to the Malaysian-born actor, the late Ashraf Sinclair, who passed away on Feb 18, 2020, due to a heart attack.
