SHAH ALAM: Brothers Sharif and Syaiful of comedy group Zero fame were announced the champion duo of Famili Duo Finale Season 3 last night.
The brothers from Sabah, who are professional comedians beat two other pairs of contestants -- cousins Haqiem Rusli and Ariff Bahran, and sisters Adira and Emma Suhaimi -- to walk home with the grand cash prize of RM100,000.
The finalists had to perform two rounds at the finale, and the winning duo first performed the song Kong Kali Kong in the first round, but it was their second performance which sealed the deal.
For the round, Sharif Kadir Doli Sharif, 33, and Mohd Syaiful Doli Sharif, 35, performed a medley of traditional tunes of Lemak Manis, Umpan Jinak Di Air Tenang, and Joget Angan Tak Sudah.
"When we took part, our main intention was to entertain our fans. It was not our aim to win," said Sharif at a press conference held after the event.
The finale of the show Famili Duo S3 was beamed live on TV3 from Studio ntv7 in Glenmarie, here last night.
