#Showbiz: Rock queen Ella set to mesmerise Kota Kinabalu: Glam Rock extravaganza unveiled

KUALA LUMPUR: After her successful concert in Penang, which drew 14,000 fans in October, Malaysia's Rock Queen Ella will be entertaining music lovers in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah on Jan 20.

The concert, to be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), will be the fourth edition in her 35th anniversary Jilid Akhir Ella Puteri Kota series of shows, which began in June.

"Alhamdulillah, the solid support from fans has moved me to continue on this tour and to satisfy everyone, we will head to Kota Kinabalu next. I can't wait to meet the fans and to entertain the 'urang' there," she said in a recent statement.

The concert will present the theme of Glam Rock and is set to be a two-hour affair featuring 25 to 30 of her evergreen songs.

Fans will also be entertained by a special guest artiste that's now being kept as a surprise.

The 57-year-old artiste, whose real name is Nor Zila Aminuddin, is working hard at rehearsals with music director Datuk Acis and building up her stamina and health in preparation for the upcoming concert.

"The vast success of her concert in Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, which garnered the title for Most Tickets Sold in 24 Hours in The Malaysia Book of Records, proves that Ella is indeed the country's incomparable Rock Queen.

"To cater to the demand for her fans that were unable to catch her live in concert, Hitman Solutions has worked hard to satisfy rock fans in Sabah next," said concert organiser Hitman Solutions' founder and CEO Rohit Rampal.

Ella, who released her autobiography, Rockers Juga Manusia (Rockers Are Humans, Too), earlier this year, said: "I hope that all of my fans will be happy and thoroughly entertained during the upcoming concert.

"It will certainly be a beautiful experience and a wonderful memory for me. Peace. Love. Rindu."

Tickets can be purchased online via www.hitmanlive.com or physically at all D'bundle Mania branches.
