#Showbiz: 'Air Force The Movie' is most watched Malaysian film on Netflix

KUALA LUMPUR: Action film Air Force The Movie: Selagi Bernyawa is Malaysia's most watched film on Netflix.

According to the video streaming service's What We Watched segment yesterday, Air Force emerged as the most watched Malaysian movie from January to June this year.

The movie co-produced by Astro, Multimedia Entertainment, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), FXHammer Films and SixFun Media and presented by the Malaysian Armed Forces and Royal Malaysian Air Force had 4.7 million views over the six-month period.

Air Force tells the story of the Air Force's Special Forces Unit members who are stuck in a war-torn Pacific island nation after their aircraft is shot down by militias.

The movie stars Datuk Adi Putra, Aiman Hakim Ridza, Nas-T, Sara Ali, Pablo Amirul, Johan As'ari, Luqman Hafidz, Scha Alyahya and Carmen Soo among others.

Patriotic historical film Mat Kilau came in second with 2.4 million views while action adventure The Assistant came in third with 1.9 million views.

The other most viewed films were Paskal (1.6 million), Upin & Ipin Keris Siamang Tunggal (1.4 million), Rasuk (1.4 million), Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula (1.2 million), Boboiboy Movie 2 (1.1 million), M4M4 (1.1 million) and Jwanita (600,000).
