KUALA LUMPUR: Singer and actor Danny of X-Factor believes in being charitable towards needy passengers who ride his Grab car.
The 44-year-old whose real name is Mohd Kardanie Anwa has been a Grab driver since 2017 and finds his new job therapeutic.
"I don't charge school students and handicapped people since they really need transport. I encourage students to save their pocket money and focus on excelling in their studies," said Danny in an interview with Harian Metro Online yesterday.
Danny added that being a Grab driver was a refreshing change from the stressful world of show business, and enabled him to meet and greet fans around the Klang Valley.
Danny however has not quit show business, and still works as a production manager and producer at Double Channel Sdn Bhd which is owned by actor Syed Aiman.
"We have just finished our first film Janna Endoro which stars Trisha Ooi and Pekin Ibrahim.
"It will be screened in cinemas next month and is aided by the National Film Development Corporation's Digital Content Fund," said Danny.
