#Showbiz: Jack Lim punches pervert, wins praise from netizens

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actor Jack Lim has earned the praise of netizens for punching a pervert who used his handphone camera for "upskirt" photography.

Lim, 48, the star of Juang and a radio announcer for MY, said the Jan 19 incident happened during a meet-and-greet session at a shopping centre, where he and fellow cast members were promoting their latest movie.

"That sick monster is a repeated offender. He kept moving a paper bag towards the skirts of several women who attended the event including female artistes," said Lim who was alerted to the pervert by a fellow male artiste.

"My friend chased the pervert. Some bystanders quickly apprehended him, after which we seized the paper bag and found that it had a hole for his handphone camera to take photos."

Lim soon realised that the culprit had many photos and videos of his victims from different places.

"I believe many female artistes became his victims for sometime. I was so angry that I struck him in the face without knocking him out," said Lim, adding that police subsequently arrested the culprit.

"I have never encountered such a monster in my life. How dare he do such things to women — he is just like Jack The Ripper.

"If I were the Incredible Hulk, I would have ripped his head off!"

Lim's action was widely praised by netizens when he uploaded a brief video of the culprit getting arrested on his Instagram page.

A netizen identified as Grace said: "Well done Jack, you are my hero. Show those monsters no mercy. If I were you, I would have landed that sicko in the ICU!"
