#Showbiz: Nurul Shuhada says her kids forbid her from remarrying

KUALA LUMPUR: Nurul Shuhada Mat Shukri, the ex-wife of actor Hafidz Roshdi, won't be tying the knot soon.

Nurul Shuhada, 30, said her children had forbidden her from remarrying, according to a news report.

"My children are traumatised and have not allowed me to get married again.

"I want to take care of my children's feelings and make them happy."

Nurul Shuhada was met at the Kuala Kubu Baru magistrate's court in Selangor yesterday after the assault trial of her alleged beating by her ex-husband.

She said she was wary of opening her heart to other men.

"There have been people who have tried to get close to me and my children, but I think they are just friends, because if you want to start a new relationship, you need to heal yourself first."

Nurul Shuhada added that her focus was on finding happiness for her children: Humairah, 7, and Umar, 3.

In a following report, Nurul Shuhada said Hafidz had not seen his two children for almost six months.

"He was absent at the new mention of the custody case (hadanah) at the Syariah High Court in Shah Alam, Selangor, on Jan 23."

Hafidz and Nurul Shuhada got married in 2016.

However, on Feb 22 last year, Hafidz was reported to have divorced Nurul Shuhada with a single talak over the phone in front of their families.

Nurul Shuhada filed for confirmation of the divorce at the Syariah High Court in Shah Alam in February last year.
