#Showbiz: Puteri Balqis removes 300 negative social media comments daily

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Puteri Balqis Azizi, 16, says "no" to all haters who send her negative comments on social media.

The award-winning Terlanjur Cinta star removes around 300 hateful comments on her Instagram or TikTok accounts almost daily and is "used to doing so."

"Many of these toxic people attack me for speaking and writing in English. They call me all sorts of nasty names such as 'muka sampah'," said Puteri Balqis in an interview with Harian Metro Online yesterday.

"It does not matter how many such people pay me a 'visit'. I just erased their comments and blocked them."

Puteri Balqis also said that there was nothing wrong about writing and speaking in English as it is an international language and the government encourages Malaysians to master the language.

"Many Europeans are learning Malay and mastering it so why can't we Malaysians master English? It is good to be bilingual or multilingual."

Puteri Balqis sees her social media accounts as her virtual "kampungs" and makes sure toxic people do not pollute them.

"Nobody wants his or her home village to be invaded by nasty people. That's why I go all out to get rid of their negative comments."
