KUALA LUMPUR: Although celebrity Abby Abadi is still keeping mum following an uproar over the recent revelation of the secret marriage of her second daughter, Marissa Dania Hakim to a man known as Aslam, her latest Instagram Stories post has been garnering attention.
Without addressing anyone in particular, she wrote just a brief and cryptic caption that read: "Fight everything with prayer."
Marissa's father, actor Norman Hakim, was also keeping silent after news of her secret marriage to a man who was already a husband and a father of two children created a storm on social media.
The media's efforts to get comments from both parents were unsuccessful as calls and messages went unanswered.
Yesterday, the news went viral saying that Marissa, 19, and Aslam, 25, tied the knot in Songkhla, Thailand on Dec 27.
However, Aslam's wife Misya Mazlan was not previously aware of the marriage since she was in Makkah to perform Umrah at the time.
Abby and Norman, who are no longer married to each other, had allegedly met with Aslam's family as soon as they heard the news of their daughter's marriage and had asked for it to be annulled but the couple did not agree.
